CLUB MEMBERSHIP Basildon tennis club is a friendly and fun tennis club situated in the wonderful grounds of Mopsies Park in Basildon, Essex. We play all year round on 5 hard surface tennis courts, 3 of which are fitted with state of the art floodlights. We have weekly club sessions, teams in the local Essex leagues and are always open to new members. We operate 2 club periods a week all year round on a Wednesday evening from 18.30 and Sunday Morning from 10.00. We have teams in the following leagues:- Summer - 2 Mixed, 1 mens and 1 ladies team in the Chelmsford and District. 2 Mens in the Brentwood & District League. Winter - We have 2 men's and 2 Mixed in the Stock Floodlit Winter League. We also have a structured coaching sessions and themed tournaments throughout the year. New members are always welcomed to the club, from beginner to advanced level of experience. Please contact Andy Dowsett the Club Coach for more details. We have a relaxed guest policy and welcome anyone to come down and join in one of our social tennis sessions completely free for their first time. Subsequent visits can be made for a small guest fee of £4. Anyone who becomes a full member will have any guest fees that they have paid for that season deducted from their membership cost.NEW MEMBERS Membership includes floodlights and the use of tennis balls. Our membership rates are as follows (April 2009 to April 2010): Please note that as a new member you will get access to the gate keys however in order to get access to the pavillion we will need that you remain a member and rejoin the following year. This will then incur a fee of £50 for the key that you will then get back if you leave the club and hand your old key in again.
